Each and every product produced by Maxwell-Leigh is a one of a kind creation.  Handmade from American leather and crafted with pride in the heart of the Carolinas.  Leather has been our passion for over 50 years.  We are a small company of experienced leather crafters who enjoy creating unique and rugged leather products that will stand the test of time.  Each piece is handmade from start to finish.  Designs and patterns have been developed over many years but still each product is unique.  Leather is dyed and finished so as to highlight the natural characteristics of the hide so the natural grain and range markings will be evident in each piece.  Some of the designs and patterns we produce were created back in the 60's and 70's during a time when creating leather products was actually fun!  Although we have aged over the years our love and desire for the craft has not.  You will find our designs unique, our colors stimulating and our quality products useful and durable.

We only use leather that is produced in America.  We live in a time where almost everything is imported from other countries but here at Maxwell-Leigh, we try our best to use all American produced items in our production.  Most buckles and hardware, thread and even the dye we use are all made in the USA.  Many of our leather hides are selected from limited production runs that may only contain a few hides.  We use only top grain leather that allows the natural beauty of the hide to be expressed in the products we make.  Our cases, sheaths and straps are made with oiled leather that is selected for it's suppleness as well as for durability.

All of our vegetable tanned leathers are hand dyed and finished, therefore, no two are exactly alike.  The dye we use is made to our specifications and finished with natural oils and conditioners that allow the leather to "breathe."  Most of our leathers are finished in a variety of browns or black, but we also use a combination of bright colors.  Remember, our roots go back to the time of the "flower children" and that influence is still evident in many of our leather designs.

We take pride in each and every item we produce.  We will replace or repair any item that does not hold up to normal wear and tear or if it is defective in any way.  This warranty is offered for two years after your purchase but if a snap fails, a rivet comes loose or any other problem arises with your product, simply return it to us and we will repair it at no cost to you, even if it has been several years since your purchase.
